I am the first person you see when you walk in the doors of Cogito Mental Health Services. I oversee the day to day operations and handle all administrative duties. My primary goal is to ensure that we provide the highest quality of care to our clients and families.
Life is a journey and that journey has twist and turns. Some of the challenges we face in life can seem overwhelming at time. Stress can destroy our lives and the relationships that we form along the way. As a professional counselor, I know the value of seeking help at times from people with the knowledge and skills to help make sense out of life and to create a plan for personal growth.
Growth. Change. Two small words that can have a huge impact on our lives, if only we choose to harness their opportunities. Helping my clients learn to connect with their inner power to be able to walk bravely through life is my goal. Embracing our inner power helps us to move the growth and change in our lives in the direction in which we choose to go.
I am a Master Level Therapist. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Troy University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I am a former elementary school teacher and behavior therapist.
Accurate diagnosis, along with insight and empowerment gained through psychotherapy, rather than hoping solely for a magic pill or capsule, is crucial in attaining optimal mental health.
I am pursuing a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Thomas Edison State University and on track to graduate in 2019. My goal is to obtain a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and become a therapist.
